The functions of the Excise Organization, Government of Uttarakhand are:-

1) Collection of excise revenue from various privileges granted through license for production,storage and supply of liquor, registration of liquor brands, labels and capsules.

2)    Conduction of raids against crimes related with liquor and narcotic items as per Joint State Excise Act, 1910 and NDPS Act, 1985.

3)    Periodical inspections of licensed liquor premises.
